Faridan Nasal Spray for Cold and Rhinitis Support
INGREDIENTS:
Purified water (Aqua purificata), sodium chloride, kappa-carrageenan, fucoidan, sodium EDTA.
Faridan is a colorless, odorless gel-based nasal spray used as an adjunct and soothing agent for viral rhinitis. Its ingredients coat the nasal mucosa with a protective film that helps reduce the adhesion, penetration, and spread of viruses such as rhinoviruses, coronaviruses, etc. Through an osmotic effect, Faridan reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa.
INDICATIONS:
Adjunctive treatment for early symptoms of the common cold (viral origin) and flu-like symptoms
Adjunctive treatment for viral rhinitis
Preventive use during periods of increased risk for allergic rhinitis
Important information to read before using Faridan:
PRECAUTIONS:
Do not use Faridan if
The container is damaged or the product is past the expiration date printed on the packaging
There is a known hypersensitivity (intolerance) to any of the ingredients
There is a nosebleed or visible ulceration in the nasal cavity
The patient has recently undergone nasopharyngeal surgery
The patient is an infant under one year of age
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before using the product. Avoid contact of the product’s ingredients with the mucous membranes of the ears and eyes. Interactions with other medicinal products/medical devices:
Due to its antithrombotic properties, fucoidan may cause adverse effects when used alongside anticoagulants such as warfarin and heparin.
Interactions with other products have not yet been investigated. It is recommended that no other medications, medical devices, or nasal drops be applied for at least 30 minutes after using this product.
DOSAGE:
Faridan should be used at least three times daily, with one dose administered into each nostril.
Adults and children over one year of age: Spray one dose into each nostril, three times daily. Consult a doctor if there is no improvement after 7 days or if the condition worsens.
For children, Faridan should be used under adult supervision.
Faridan may be used for an extended period if necessary. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 7 days.
For hygiene reasons and to prevent the spread of germs, each bottle should be used by only one person.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Faridan is designed for topical application within the nasal cavity. Blow and clean your nose thoroughly before use.
Step 1: Hold the bottle upright. Remove the protective cap and press the pump 3–4 times until the product is visible at the nozzle tip or appears as a fine mist.
Step 2: Insert the nozzle into the nostril, but not too deeply. Spray one dose into the nostril while closing off the other nostril.
Step 3: Clean the nozzle after use, replace the protective cap, and return the bottle to its box.
POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS:
No adverse effects have been reported or observed to date. If any concerning symptoms occur, discontinue use of Faridan and consult a doctor as soon as possible.
STORAGE:
Store Faridan in a dry place at a temperature between 15°C and 25°C, keeping the bottle upright and in its original packaging. Protect from light. Do not freeze and do not store in the refrigerator. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Recycle packaging after use in accordance with local regulations.
